Going toe to toe with hyper-aggressive players in Black Ops 7 can get annoying fast, especially when Omnimovement lets them fling themselves through every doorway like they've got nothing to lose. Still, you don't have to play at that speed to beat them. A lot of players figure that out after a few rough matches, and some even use a CoD BO7 Bot Lobby to get a better feel for routes, timings, and gunfights before jumping back into regular multiplayer. The big thing is this: rushers depend on panic. They want you flicking all over the place, second-guessing corners, and chasing fights you shouldn't take. If you stay settled, hold your aim where they're likely to appear, and make them run into you, the fight already starts in your favour.
Hold the space, don't donate it
One mistake people make is giving up strong positions for no reason. They hear footsteps, get impatient, then sprint straight into the lane. That usually ends badly. Same slide into the objective room. Once you clock that pattern, the whole match slows down a bit. You start arriving early instead of late. Audio helps too, probably more than people give it credit for. If you're wearing a decent headset, you can track footsteps, direction changes, even when someone's about to barrel around a wall. That removes their surprise, and without surprise, a lot of these players suddenly look way less dangerous.
Use tools that kill momentum
Lethals and tacticals matter more against rushers than against almost anyone else. A stun into a narrow entrance, a frag bounced off the frame, even just forcing somebody to hesitate for half a second can swing the fight. You're not always trying to get the kill with equipment. Sometimes you're just breaking their rhythm. That's enough. It also helps to stay in reach of your team. Not stacked on top of each other, just close enough that if one player gets hit, there's an instant trade. Aggressive players love isolated targets because those duels are clean and quick. Crossfires ruin that. They get one kill, then they're gone.
Control the tempo
The hardest part is staying calm when somebody suddenly dives across your screen and turns the whole fight messy. That's where discipline wins games. Back off when the angle feels wrong. Reposition instead of forcing it. Check the boring corners because, yeah, they still matter. BO7 rewards players who can control the pace, not just the ones moving at full speed every second. If you make aggressive opponents fight on your timing, their movement starts working against them instead of for them, and that's usually when matches get a lot easier, whether you're grinding public lobbies or warming up in a Multiplayer Bot Lobby before the real games start.
